At Richard C. Dalton, our attorney is involved in an original class action complaint the plaintiff, whom we are representing, and the defendant, General Motors, LLC. The plaintiffs purchased a new Chevrolet Cruze 2011 model, which has been in the repair shop on more than 20 separate occasions for a period of more than 60 days. Serious vehicle defects were involved.
The class being represented includes the thousands of individuals who have purchased Chevrolet Cruze vehicles since 2011. In this case, the court has jurisdiction under the Class Action Fairness Act of 2005, 28 U.S.C. § 1332 (d); 28 U.S.C. § 331. In addition, the court has personal jurisdiction over the defendant because of the business that this company conducts within Louisiana State. The plaintiff is seeking damages based on the conduct of General Motors, LLC.
